Mendham Area Senior Housing Corporation (MASH) is one of many subsidized projects across the United States funded by
the USDA, Rural Development. We are a 40-unit, federally-assisted apartment community providing subsidized rents
for qualified tenants in 35 of those units.
MASH is a tax exempt, non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Trustees.
Our History and Activities
MASH is community-oriented project...
-
Started in 1980 based upon an inter-church
initiative and alliance with Mendham Borough
-
We work cooperatively with the individual
houses of worship, schools and clubs to provide a variety of support activities such as senior lunches, dinners, craft days,
game days, occasion-related transportation, bingo, student and scout visitations, bible studies, fellowship hour, Christmas
caroling, gift certificates, and meals on wheels.
- Common building is used by various
community groups and as a voting place for Mendham Borough.
We believe that on-going community interaction and support is important for our project as well
as for our individual seniors. The Board
of Trustees recently renovated the community room and patio at the common building to better serve our residents
--- using funds collected primarily from community contributions. We welcome citizens to become annual members
of the corporation and provide their personal and financial support.
