Ministry of Caring
at Centenary

Welcome to Centenary United Methodist Church.

The Caring Council

The Caring Council provides members and friends of Centenary with help in the following areas:

Please call the office for more information or pick up the Caring Council's brochure in the rack by the church office.

The Intern Program

Centenary is a teaching parish for the Boston University School of Theology. Each year a student is placed in our church to do an internship. The intern works in many areas of the church in order to gain a broad experience within the local church. Through this program, we are helping to shape the future ministries of the United Methodist Church and the Church Universal.

Minister's Discretionary Fund

Monies are available to the Pastor for use in social outreach and emergency situations. These funds are distributed at the Pastor's discretion.

News Letter

The Centenary Herald is a monthly publication designed to inform the congregation of the current events in the life of our church. Also included are messages of faith and inspiration by our Pastor and members of the congregation.

Articles and announcements may be submitted to the church office by the 15th of each month for publication the following month.

Members and freinds receive a copy of the newsletter. If you wish to be on the mailing list, please call the church office.

Pastoral Services

Private and confidential consultations: Pre- and Post- Marital Conferences and Services, Funeral Arrangements and Services are provided at Centenary.

Visitation

Nursing home and home-bound members are visited on a regular basis by the Visitation Committee and our Pastor. Hospital visitations are made, as needed, by the pastor and the Lay Leaders. Members of the congregation are urged to notify the Pastor or the church office when a family member is hospitalized.
