Stewardship?
Welcome to Centenary United Methodist Church.
Stewardship
Centenary sees the matter of Stewardship in the broadest sense. We believe that Stewardship is about how we take care of all parts of our world:
· Care of our Lives
· Care of our Relationships
· Care of our Church
· Care of our Society
· Care of our Earth
Good stewardship, then, is made up of the "right"actions surrounding all the things we believe in. Good stewardship is the quality management of our personal resources and those resources around us. Good stewardship is the quality cultivation of our immediate relationships and those in the surrounding greater community. Good stewardship is a way of life.
The church of Jesus Christ must not be budget-driven. Rather, by the grace of God, we must be Spirit-driven. We must consider the fundamental call of the Master:
We are not in a 100 yard dash to meet a financial goal. We are stewards who are part of a cross-country run that lasts a lifetime. We believe this is a life long journey.
