The stadium replaced an older facility on the same site, and while all the concessions are on the exterior of the seating bowl, the bowl itself is designed with an overhanging roof that covers all the reserved and general admission seating (the lower boxes are exposed to the elements). Boxes are stadium seats; reserved seats are bucket seats; general admission seats are benches. There’s also some decorative iron work around the perimeter (behind the back row of seats) that makes the park stand out.
The homestanding Greenjackets have one of the best team names in the minors today. The park is less than three miles from Augusta National Golf Club.
