Breslin Field

Quick Facts:
Breslin Stadium, most commonly referred to as Breslin Field because there is no stadium structure, was dedicated in 1976 by the Bergen County Park Commission but may have replaced another field on the same site.

The field has served local high schools and colleges, as well as numerous American Legion games and tournaments and other amateur baseball. The American Legion 1988 Region 2 tournament was played here. During the early 1990s, New Jersey Institute of Technology played its home games here; it is currently used by Bloomfield College, an NJIT conference opponent.

There is no seating behind the plate; all the seats are in bleachers extending well down each foul line. The area behind the plate is taken up by a press box, which was built around 1990 to replace an inadequate predecessor. The press box was dedicated in 2000 to Joe Job, a former Bergen County sheriff who was also a semi-pro baseball advocate and had served as president of the unlimited-age Metropolitan Baseball League for many years.

The facility also hosted football until the early 1990s, when a decision was made to limit the field to baseball use.
