With expansion in 1993, the Montréal Expos shifted their Triple-A International League club to Ottawa (two hours’ drive away), where they became the Lynx. In a series of Triple-A affiliation shifts in 2003, the Lynx became associated with the Baltimore Orioles.

The ballpark is easily accessible and quite serviceable, and, like many Canadian facilities, quite affordable as well - especially for visitors with American dollars (or at least it was until the 2007 downturn in the U.S. dollar).

For several years the ballpark naming rights game made its way into Canada’s capital city as well, and the facility became known as JetForm Park. I’m not sure I want to know what a JetForm is. Or was, as the company was bought out and the name has reverted to Ottawa Stadium.

The Lynx affiliated with the Philadelphia Phillies for their last Triple-A season in 2007 and then moved to Allentown, Pa., for 2008. Miles Wolff, owner of the independent Can-Am League, has expressed an interest in the market, and a group stepped forward to place what had been a road team in that loop in Ottawa for the 2008 season.
