The park is set in an industrial area several blocks from downtown.

The park overlooks the Hoosier Dome (whatever it’s being called this week) as well as downtown Indianapolis.

The ticket office and main entrance to the park are in center field (near the Dome), which is unique in itself. Spectators walk into an outfield picnic area. The field is then sunken into the ground, making many of the seats below street level, a not-uncommon pattern (I think Camden Yards started the trend).
I’m not sure I go along with the idea of a view dominated by a domed football stadium, but Victory Field works out to be a very nice place to watch a game otherwise.
