I had a fairly early introduction to Connecticut when I went on a family trip to Mystic Seaport. I returned there in 1989, and I still liked the place. I’ve also enjoyed the Mark Twain House in Hartford, as well as the American Clock and Watch Museum in Bristol. Bristol is also the home of Little League Baseball’s Eastern Region headquarters and tournament, and its A. Bartlett Giamatti Leadership Training Center. Speaking of Giamatti, he was once president of Yale, that Ivy League school down in New Haven.

Note: Connecticut counties no longer have any administrative function. The historic counties are retained for purposes of census division. The county seats listed are the historic county seats.
