We have been growing orchids for 11 years
now, in various conditions ranging from windowsill to a small greenhouse.
Currently, we have plants on light carts in the basement, in several
large wardian cases, in fish tanks, on window sills, and in a small greenhouse
during the Summer months. We use fluorescent, sodium, and metal halide
lights. Being grown in the home, these species tend to be fairly
easy to grow. Some that could otherwise be tricky on the window sill
become quite easy when placed in an enclosure of some sort.
Our interest is mainly species. Many of the plants and flasks
listed on these pages are from pollinations we've made. In these cases,
photos shown are of actual parent plants.
We're always making new crosses, flasking and deflasking new species,
so selections will change periodicly.
