Worship is the most important time for Christians, and that is true for children as much as for adults. At Christ Church, we encourage families to worship together. It is our hope that children will learn the patterns of ancient worship by sharing this time with their parents and community as a whole.

For those with younger children, we welcome you to use the activity bags located at the back of the church. These bags contain materials for quiet activities to help children stay engaged in those parts of the service geared toward older Christians. While children may be coloring, they are more in tune with the service than some may realize.

Weekly envelopes will be provided for all students as we hope to establish early habits of giving. These are available in the Church School office.

As we answer the invitation of Jesus to welcome children, the whole community will practice hospitality and invitation. We are delighted to have children with us as we worship.

  • Your little ones are always welcome at Christ Church.
  • You will find special children's materials and crayons as you come into the church building. If you do not see them, one of our Greeters will be glad to help you.
  • Please feel free to get up and walk your infant around the back of the church if you feel that would help settle your child down. Space has been set up in the balcony if your infant needs a diaper change or to be nursed.
  • If you choose to bring a small snack for your child, please pick up crumbs before you leave.
  • For young children receiving communion (see the Holy Eucharist), please help them first. The chalice bearer will wait for you to assist your child.
