"No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:4-5)

Picture yourself as a seedling in God's hands.  God gives you life, and soon you are baptized  into the life of Christ. Each day, you are nurtured and guided along the path God has chosen for you. God shapes you and strengthens you for life's journey ahead.

Many of us believed that once we were confirmed as teenagers, our years of nurturing, of formation, were complete.

Here at Christ Church, we feel differently.  We believe that to experience the fullness of Christian life, we need to continuing nurturing our lives in Christ.

To that end, we offer adult formation time each Sunday for one hour between our 8am and 10:30 am services.

Nearly every week, we offer the Sunday Forum. This class is usually oriented toward a topic of interest, and we often feature a series of classes. Sometimes we are led by our priest, and other times a member of Christ Church or a guest speaker leads us.

We have learned about the life of Jesus, John the Baptist and Mary, Mother of Jesus. We have been introduced to Judaism and Islam. One recent four-week session, entitled "To Bring Good News", gave us an overview of the history of the Episcopal Church,  the similarities (and differences) between Episcopalianism and other branches of the Christian Church and our hopes for the future.

At times, the Sunday Forum is complemented by another choice, the Sunday Bible Study. Here are study God's Word, seeking to understand the Bible better, to explore our faith, and to find connections between the Bible and our daily lives. We have recently looked at the Gospel of Mark and Paul's Letter to the Romans. You don't need to be a Bible scholar or a rocket scientist to come join us. All you need is curiosity.

Our offerings are varied, but never boring. Come and join us! Before long, you'll be growing stronger and bearing much fruit!
