Acolytes |
||
| Over twenty-five youth and adults assist in the worship of the church as acolytes. Acolytes carry the processional crosses and torches, assist the clergy in the preparation of the altar and light the altar candles. All parish members in the fourth grade and above are eligible to become acolytes. | ![]() |

| Their contribution is
recognized by the color of the neck ribbons on their crosses with
colors ranging from white (beginning service) to green (four years
of faithful service). At five years, a cross is given in a special
ceremony.

Youth Group |
||
| Our Youth Group has more
than doubled its size offer the past year and is lead by the very
enthusiastic team of Beth and Mike Silvia.Christ Church Youth
Group is open to tweens entering grade 6 through teens in grade
12. This year will be an exciting year for us as we hope to start
a band, create a new space for our group, welcome new members,
reach out to the community and of course, continue with the usual
craziness of playing mad games and hosting events such as
"challenge" bowling, nutty family competitions and much,

the Church...Holy Baptism is appropriately administered within the
Eucharist as the chief service on a Sunday or other feast."
(BCP p.298).
Parents are encouraged to present their children for Holy Baptism, but it is not necessary to present your child soon after birth. Children (and adults) of any age can be baptized. Please call the Parish Office to speak about Holy Baptism. |

Parents and godparents are expected to attend pre-Baptismal instruction. Parents may be godparents for their children. To become a godparent, the person must be a baptized Christian, but there is no requirement that godparents be members of the Episcopal Church.
Holy Baptism is full initiation into the Church, and children are full members of the Church from the moment of their baptism, making this the time when they can begin to receive Communion. |
