Programming note: We are pleased to announce the addition of Greg Laurie's "A Time For Harvest" into our daily lineup, effective Monday September 8.  Greg Laurie is one of Heidi's favorite speakers, you can hear him at 10:40am, 3:10pm, and 10:40pm.

Programming note: We have been informed that Bible For Life has completed its run and that June is its last month of airing.  You will be hearing Decision Minute with Billy and Franklin Graham in its place beginning Monday.

 

This Monday is another "new music Monday", meaning we have added a lot of songs... newer music from MercyMe, some Cindy Morgan and Rich Mullins.  We finally got all of our CD's into the computer! (whew)  Never fear, this is just one major milestone - we still have records, cassettes, carts, even one mini-disc (sorry, no 8-tracks, but we have a player just in case).

Music!  New Music!  We've added over 100 songs to the library, and they'll all be included in the mix beginning Monday morning.  Petra, Rebecca St James, Sandi Patti, new artists like Salvador and Mark Schultz, and some forgotten-about music from David Martin.

 

From the techno-geeks: we're not sure if Loudcity has been doing work at their end, Pete Winchester is intermittently having trouble listening and we're okay whenever we tune-in at work or on the other computer here.  If anyone else is having trouble tuning in from time to time, please drop us a line describing what's happening.  Feel free to check the loudcity forum too, sometimes they post messages if parts of their system is down for repairs.

Technical note: Our UPS is installed, so we expect to have minimal outages during the severe weather season even if our electric goes out at the studio.

 

Music news:  Monday you will be hearing some new additions to our music library, including a couple songs from Long Island artist Gregg Suriano.  Those have been provided to us by Brian Fisher.

Technical note: We'll be installing a UPS (battery backup system) for the on-air computer this weekend, so if you experience outages late at night, it's us turning everything off to hook in the UPS.  Thank you for your patience, and we'll re-post here when everything is completed.

Personalities update: We are looking forward to the return of Brian Fisher from the early 1980's.  He has been recovering from recent surgery, and is ready to get back on the air, be listening for him 2-7pm eastern time beginning later this week.

 

We received some recordings from a really long time ago, and we will be featuring two of these clips in our "16 years of memories" during the month of May.  Don't forget, if you have any recordings of WLIX-AM you're willing to share, we'd love for you to pass them along!

 

Program note: Crown Financial is changing their programming and host, so beginning Monday April 7, 2008 Christian 54 will be carrying their new 2 minute feature "My MoneyLife" hosted by Chuck Bentley.  This replaces "How To Manage Your Money" with Howard Dayton.

 

Music additions: our Wayne Watson collection is the next popular artist to be added to our music library.  Also, some other artists beginning with "W" like Watermark, Matthew Ward, and Matthew West are on the to-do pile for tonight.
