Here is Hiva(Heevah, jet black in Hawaiian), she used to be Runtee.  She has also been returned to us.  Hiva was born on June 13, 2003, she is spayed, and current on her shots.  She is Housebroken and is good with other animals.  She likes to go for rides and play fetch.  Its hard to believe she is a littermate of Pe'a and Billdozer, below left.  She is one of Liko's pups, my granddaughter!  If you're interested in adopting Hiva, e-mail Shawn & Robert Gayhart at  circee.peepers@verizon.net  . Thank you.

Here is Pe'a, pronounced pe' ah.  It is Hawaiian for 'Bear'.  She looks like a bear.  She looks like her mom, Liko!  Liko is a spayed female, current on her shots, Housebroken, good with other animals, she was born on June 13, 2003.  She loves to play ball, would be great at agility and dosen't even mind getting dirty!  It doesn't show very much on her either since she's black!  She's been good about her baths too.  She is crate trained also.  If you're interested in adopting Pe'a, please e-mail Shawn & Robert Gayhart at circee.peepers@verizon.net  Thank you.

Liko

Here is Liko, we took her out of the shelter at the beginning of June.  Ten days after we took her out of the shelter she had 10 puppies!  I delivered them and they're my grandchildren now!  I'm finally a grandma!  Its the closest I'll ever get thank goodness!  Liko is a special needs foster dog.  She is afraid of people and fast movements.  She needs someone who understands.  She loves to be a couch potato!  She doesn't like to travel at all if she can avoid it but will go if she has to.  She is getting a little better at short trips but probably wouldn't do well for long trips unless worked up to it.

Liko has had a hard life.  She was dumped at the shelter VERY pregnant!  She was spayed at the Oregon Neutermobile but ended up with a hernia and had to have surgery for its removal.  We found out at that time that she has an enlarged heart which means she musn't play too much or be too stressed out and there is no cure she will inevitably die as the rest of us will, but sooner than she should.  She's a very sweet and loving dog who is very conservative with her kisses but loves to lay beside you or near you.  She loves to go out and watch over the goats in the yard but does not try to hurt them.  She is finally learning what its like to be a dog and not a puppy mill!  She is learning that being a dog is supposed to be fun and happy!  And she's enjoying every minute of it and eating it up!  She loves my homemade doggie cookies too!
If you're interested in adopting Liko and feel you can give her a good home please contact Shawn & Robert Gayhart at circee.peepers@verizon.net  Thank you.
