Milt Plum

Cleveland 57-61
Detroit 62-67
LA Rams 68
NY Giants 69
Plum, a double-duty back,
filled in brilliantly when
first-string quarterback
Tommy O'Connell was injured
late in the season.  He's a
brainy signal-caller and an
accurate passer.  He clicked
on better than 50 percent of
his tosses.

Lenny Moore
Baltimore 56-57
He's called Spats for the
habit of wrapping tape around
his ankles and shoes, and
he's the most dangerous
single game threat in the
game.  Lenny is almost
impossible to guard
one-on-one as a flanker, and
he's a brilliant running back in
tight.  He caught 45 passes
last year and led Baltimore in
rushing with a  4.1 average
per carry.  Colt coaches say
he has the most natural
ability in the game.

Roosevelt Grier

NY Giants 55-56 58-62
LA Rams 63-66

When the Giants have their
backs against the goal line,
Rosie is the man to watch.
His fantastic amount of power
is marshalled up and he
makes a habit of smashing
enemy goal-line drives.

Dave Robinson

Green Bay 63-72
Washington 65-74

Voted the Packers'
Outstanding Defensive
Player  of 1969, Dave played
  guard, tackle and end at
Penn State.  He played in the
Hula Bowl, the Gator  Bowl,
the All-American Game and
the College All-Star game.

 Dick Hoak

Pittsburgh 61-70

Dick was one of the few bright spots for the Steelers last year.  He led the club in rushing with 426 yards with a 3.3 average.  He scored 5 TD's on the ground and one of his 19 receptions went for "6".  He had 228 yds. receiving.

Fran Rogel

Pittsburgh 50-57

Fran was the top Steeler ground gainer last season. Compact and powerful, he is at home busting through the middle or exploding into the open for long runs.  Fran is also one of the best downfield blockers in the game.  In the off season, he is a Deputy Sheriff in Allegheny County.

 Pete Liske

NY Jets 64
Denver 69-70 Philadelphia 71-72

Pete had brilliant 3 year stint at Toronto, 1965-67, and was voted Canadian League's Most Valuable Player in 1967.  Pete came to the Eagles from Denver in 1971.

Glenn Ressler

Baltimore 65-74

A sound professional who coaches feel is one of the best players on Colts, Glenn is very intelligent and tough and sometimes goes unnoticed because he does his job with such quiet effiiciency.  Glenn is an outstanding competitor and always turns in a top-notch performance.  He has great strength.

 Richie Lucas

Buffalo  60-61

Penn State coach Rip Engle says of Richie, "Lucas is the greatest player I have ever seen," and he has earned this fine tribute.  He broke practically every record at Penn State excelling in passing, running, defensive play, punting, and all-around outstanding quarterback.  As a result of his 1959 season, Richie appeared on practically everybody's All-American first team selection, and it is no wonder he was the most sought after college player in the country.

John Hufnagle
Denver 74-76
Calgary 77-79
Saskatchewan 80-?
John joined the Riders early in 1980 after playing out his option with the Stampeders.  An All-American at Penn State, John set nine team records while leading the "Nittany Lions" to 26 wins in 28 games.  In his senior year he was named E.C.A.C. Player of the Year and led his team to a Cotton Bowl appearance.  1982 saw John good on 108 of 210 attempts for 1,535 yards and six touchdowns.  In addition, John was named Rothmans Offensive Star of the Week for his victory against the Eskimos.
