USOF JUNIOR TEAM QUILT RAFFLE 2008


Juniors - Help raise money for the Junior Team fund and you could win a travel grant for yourself!

25% of the quilt raffle proceeds will be awarded as travel grants to Juniors who participate in the fundraiser.

How to get involved:

Step 1: Download the quilt raffle flyer and print one out.

Step 2: Get some raffle tickets.
You will need the kind that have two parts - one for the customer to keep and one to go into the raffle. It doesn't matter what color you get, as long as they are this type.

Step 3: Sell LOTS of Tickets! Sell them to friends and family and at local orienteering meets. Since the quilt will be made from their own T-shirts, they need not be an orienteer to enjoy the prize.
Ticket Prices:
$1.00 per individual ticket
$5.00 for 6 tickets 
$20.00 for 30 tickets
The customer needs to write their name and some way to contact them on the back of the ticket. This could be a phone number or email address. YOU need to write your name on the front side of the ticket.

Step 4: Turn in your tickets and money.
The Junior raffle participation is being coordinated by Clare Durand. In order to be eligible for travel grants, you must turn your proceeds in through Clare. Please convert any cash received into checks. Checks should be made out to "United States Orienteering Federation" and should say "Jr. Quilt Raffle" on the memo line. Clare will forward all of the checks to Robin Shannonhouse.

It is recommended that you periodically send your tickets and money in to Clare. You must mail in proceeds to be received NO LATER THAN Monday, July 28, 2008. OR you may handcarry your tickets and money to the event where the drawing is being held and turn them in there. This is still TBD, but will be one of the August A-meets (Cle Elum or Laramie)

Travel Grant Prizes:
25% of the total proceeds will be awarded as travel grants. At least one travel grant will be awarded to the Junior who sells the winning ticket. If enough money is raised, additional travel grants may be awarded to top sellers.
NOTE: Travel Grants will only be awarded to Juniors with current USOF membership.
