Yesterday the Supreme Court reversed a conviction (8-1) because the prosecutor
failed to disclose material compromising crucial eyewitness testimony. As inaccurate eyewitness identifications, like
false confessions, are a fertile source of wrongful convictions, this decision is most welcome.
