Room and Space:
 The
Layout was originally to be in our garage, this was known as the
'Garage Idea" or GI. Its dimensions are shown to the left. However, after a
review of what would be needed to convert the garage into a functional train
room was done, it was found to be in excess of four thousand dollars and the
'Garage Idea' was scraped at least for now.
Enter a new plan, the 'Spare Bedroom Idea' or SBI. Having lost
the
 Garage as a functional space for a train room, the search began. Luckily
one of the three bedrooms in our home is currently unused and so it was
quickly adopted as the new train room. The SBI offers great improvements over
the old GI, as now there is no need to hold off the layout for massive
improvements to the space, and the addition of ready central heat and air is a
glorious boon. The Spare Bedroom's dimensions are shown to the right. |
