Basic Formations and Movements for Challenge Dancers
This paper shows the basic positions used in square dancing and where the dancers are positioned within the basic 4x4 grid. Also included are diagrams showing where dancers move to within the 4x4 grid for several basic movements.

Disconnected Concept
This is a lengthy paper which discusses a lot of information and includes many diagrams about the Disconnected concept. Because this is a quite long article, it may take a while to load if you are using a dial-up connection.

Commentaries About Selected Challenge Square Dance Subjects
There are many items in Challenge square dancing that need discussing. Of particular interest too me are call definitions. Many are not well defined, many are defined differently by different callers, some are defined on a level-by- level basis with little continuity between definitions on the various levels.

The current items are:

1. Counter Rotate
2. Extend
3. Funny
4. Recycle

I welcome any comments or criticisms of any of this material. My objective is to provide as much information of these subjects as possible so that perhaps the problems I see may be laid to rest by someone in a position to do so.

All the graphics may be printed. They are formatted for 8 1/2 by 11 inch pages. They print well on color printers using the economy quality setting. They look reasonably good when printed in grayscale.
