in the Laurel, MD, quad-county area. In 2009, my novel Flying Wires was published.

North Laurel 50+ Center open
The new senior center opened yesterday. It's located in the North Laurel Community Center at 9411 Whiskey Bottom Road, Laurel. The 50+ Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and membership
is FREE. Opportunities abound for participants and volunteers. A fund raising book and bake sale
runs from June 29 through July 1.
Activities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Walking Club
- Billiards
- Card games
- Sit, Stitch and Give - now in it's 14th year
- Health and lifestyle counseling
