I have been unable to assist some that have
inquired about their Amerman descendants.
Can you help with the following inquiries?

I am trying to find parents of Catherine & Emily Ammerman
, b 1832 & 1834 PA. Both were in the 1850 census, Vigo Co., IN, but
different households. I suspect that it is William Ammerman
that shows up in 1860, Sullivan Co., IN (1 county south of Vigo).
William was born ca 1793 NY. He m: Elizabeth ??? b. ca 1808 PA. Known
children of William, George, Theresa, Ephraim. I have correspondence
that suggests that he might be William Henry Ammerman that married an
Elizabeth Trexel, and came from NY by way
of PA.

I was just searching for some Amerman's out there. I have some
info on our family tree and thought I might have some long lost
relatives to
correspond with. I would love to hear from any Amerman or
Ammerman
out there. We are originally from the Indianna/Illinois
area.
My fathers name was Robert Amerman. His father was
Charles
I believe.
If you get any inquiries from folks looking for Amermans in/around
Cayuga, Tompkins and/or Onondaga Counties of NY, they might want to
contact
the Cayuga Owasco Lakes Historical Society. The woman who does
the
reserach is Laurel Auchampaugh...a WONDERFUL lady who is from my home
town.
She knows where a lot of things are and if she can't help the person,
she
knows where they might look!
