CODE OF CONDUCT
 
PURPOSE: The Caribou United Baptist Church has the responsibility to provide a safe, respectful and Christian environment for the youth who attend the programs sponsored by the church.This policy outlines the steps that the church will take in order to provide the above-mentioned environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Youth who participate in the programs need to be respectful of their leaders as well as other youth.
  • The youth will abide by the rules established by the particular program they are enrolled in.

PROGRESSIVE DISCIPLINE:
 
Should a young person become disruptive in a program, the following disciplinary steps will be taken:
  • The young person will be asked to quiet down.
  • If the young person does not comply, based on the leader's recommendation, the young person will be asked to leave the room with the supervision of an adult and taken to a quiet area.
  • The young person will be instructed to sit in a chair until the parent arrives. The parent will be called and instructed to come and pick up their son/daughter.
  • Upon the parents' arrival, the program leader, Pastor, and/or Christian Education Chairman will explain the situation that has occurred.

TERMINATION FROM THE PROGRAM:

Should two incidents occur during a 3-month period in which parents are asked to come and pick up their son/daughter, the youth will be terminated from the program and not allowed to reenroll for a period of an additional 3 months of programming.

(THE POLICY ABOVE IS GIVEN ROUTINELY TO FIRST-TIME YOUTH AT YOUTH GROUP, STARTING AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH SCHOOL YEAR. THE POLICY MUST BE SIGNED BY A PARENT/GUARDIAN AND RETURNED IN ORDER FOR THE YOUTH TO CONTINUE TO PARTICIPATE IN YOUTH GROUP.)
