CODE OF CONDUCT

PURPOSE: The Caribou United Baptist Church has the responsibility to provide a safe, respectful and Christian environment for the youth who attend the programs sponsored by the church.This policy outlines the steps that the church will take in order to provide the above-mentioned environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Youth who participate in the programs need to be respectful of their leaders as well as other youth.
The youth will abide by the rules established by the particular program they are enrolled in.

PROGRESSIVE DISCIPLINE:

Should a young person become disruptive in a program, the following disciplinary steps will be taken:

The young person will be asked to quiet down.
If the young person does not comply, based on the leader's recommendation, the young person will be asked to leave the room with the supervision of an adult and taken to a quiet area.
The young person will be instructed to sit in a chair until the parent arrives. The parent will be called and instructed to come and pick up their son/daughter.
Upon the parents' arrival, the program leader, Pastor, and/or Christian Education Chairman will explain the situation that has occurred.

TERMINATION FROM THE PROGRAM:

Should two incidents occur during a 3-month period in which parents are asked to come and pick up their son/daughter, the youth will be terminated from the program and not allowed to reenroll for a period of an additional 3 months of programming.

(THE POLICY ABOVE IS GIVEN ROUTINELY TO FIRST-TIME YOUTH AT YOUTH GROUP, STARTING AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH SCHOOL YEAR. THE POLICY MUST BE SIGNED BY A PARENT/GUARDIAN AND RETURNED IN ORDER FOR THE YOUTH TO CONTINUE TO PARTICIPATE IN YOUTH GROUP.)
