Welcome to the White Rocks Cottage web site!
On this home page, we'll introduce our charming waterfront
rental cottage on the Maine coast. More information and photos of White Rocks Cottage are located on the other pages of this
web site. The pages can be reached by clicking on the links to the left.
White
Rocks is a classic shingled summer cottage built in 1910. The cottage is in a private location on the salt water near
the mouth of the Kennebec River in mid-coast Maine. It overlooks
a large bay and has scenic views of islands, lighthouses, and rocky headlands. You will also see lobster boats passing
by and abundant wildlife, including bald eagles, seals, ospreys, and great blue herons. The U.S. Geologic Survey map for this
section of the Maine coast has the word “View”
printed next to the cottage's location (see the map page of this web site).
White Rocks has a screened porch and a deck that both
overlook the water. The cottage is in excellent
condition. White Rocks has two bedrooms that comfortably sleep four people. Both bedrooms have water views. The main bedroom
has a queen sized bed, and the second bedroom has two twin beds. A twin sofa bed in the living room will sleep a fifth person.
White Rocks is nicely furnished, and the kitchen is equipped with an electric range, a refrigerator, a microwave oven,
glasses, dishes, utensils, and pots and pans, including a lobster cooking pot. A gas grill is located outside on the
deck. White Rocks has a separate dining room, a large bathroom with a full shower, and the living room has
a TV, a DVD player and a VCR. The cottage has electric heat, and the kitchen has a wood stove. The bedrooms have overhead
fans. We provide sheets, blankets, towels and kitchen linens.
White
Rocks is located just steps from the water and has its own cove. The cottage also has a large lawn where you can play
catch, croquet, or just sit in the shade.
