|Liberty Men's Track Captures 10th-Straight Big South Indoor Title; Lady Flames Finish Second
For the 10th-consecutive season, the Liberty men's track and field team hoisted the team championship trophy at the New Balance Big South Indoor Track Championships presented by Mondo, UCS and the Stick on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Lady Flames finished as runner-up behind Coastal Carolina for the second-straight year at the event hosted by Clemson.

Josh McDougal also took the men's individual conference title for the third-straight season at Saturday morning's New Balance Big South Conference Cross Country Championships Presented by UCS, hosted by Charleston Southern at Miler Country Club in Summerville, S.C.

"Sgt. Jessica R. Wahlquist carries 7.62 mm rounds to her M240G medium machine gun aboard a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter March 7 at Al Asad, Iraq. Wahlquist and the soldiers with the Virginia Army National Guard's 2nd Battalion, 224th Aviation Regiment, Marine Aircraft Group 16 (Reinforced), 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, officially began conducting operations in Western Iraq Feb. 25. The battalion is writing a new chapter in military history by being the first Army aviation battalion to fall under a Marine aviation command in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Wahlquist is crew chief and Chesterfield, Va., native."
