CURRENT DESIGN STATUS

Much of my time has been spent on developing the lines inclusive of the stations, waterlines, diagonals, sheer, and buttocks. The design is being developed on software which makes it fairly transportable to most CAD systems. I have tried to include features that I have seen and admired from many different types of boats. I have worked out the COG, FP, CLR, and COB. Using computer software I have “electronically” heeled the boat for static stability study and righting moments while varying the LWL vertically (+/- 6 inches) in 0.1 inch steps around the design LWL for 0, 5,15,20,25, and the standard 30 degree heeling angles. I will be rolling the boat over for capsize righting moment study when I add the deck design onto the boat. The laminate lay up schedule has been completed and I have used it in developing the panel moments. I am currently working on the rig which will be based on a mast head rig with double lower shrouds. I have already used a preliminary design of the rig in the calculations conducted so far. A deck layout and design exists and I am currently adding the hardware detailing. As more design details are worked out I will post updates to the web page.
