George L. Dancisak

George L. Dancisak, from Whiting, Indiana flew as the Flight Engineer and waist gunner on the aircraft Boojum. He was an original crew member, and one of four aviators who returned with the aircraft during their fateful mission to Hungary on April 3, 1944. George was a quiet and deeply religious person who participated fully in the democracy that he served to protect. He flew on both Boojum and Reluctant Beaver with Emil S. Laszewski until they had successfully completed the required number of missions and were rotated back to the United States.
