Edward O. Thompson was the Tail Turret gunner on the aircraft Boojum. He bailed out over Mostar, Yugoslavia after the plane was severely damaged on April 3, 1944 while on a mission to Budapest, Hungary. Thompson was a POW until the end of the war.
