MISSION STATEMENT

AT ST. CHRISTOPHER'S WE ARE A COMMUNITY OF BELIEVERS Founded on St. Peter and the Holy Apostles of Jesus Christ, who is Lord and Savior. We are true to our Catholic Christian heritage, especially in honoring the Mother of God and the Saints of God. We are dedicated to building the Kingdom of God in our world committed to each other as a family of brothers and sisters, drawing our strength through the celebration of the Eucharist, embarked together on a great adventure of faith. WE BELIEVE: That God is calling us into an intimate relationship with Himself; That the Spirit of Jesus empowers us to call God, Father, That the love of Jesus impels us to reach out to one another as brothers and sisters. That the word of Jesus commissions us to serve one another according to our talents. That we are part of the family of Jesus, seeking to do the will of God our Father. IN THE SPIRIT OF THIS FAITH WE COMMIT OURSELVES: To proclaim the Good News of the Father's love, revealed on Sacred Scripture and Holy Tradition and embodied in Jesus the Lord, to gather every Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation to remember the saving events of Jesus and to celebrate our unity at the Lord's table. To create a warm relationship among members, to foster spiritual growth at all levels of human development, to respond to the needs of the suffering, the poor and the disheartened. To encourage ongoing renewal of our community that reflects the ever changing course of a people on a common pilgrimage, to offer activities that will enhance our development as a family, to share responsibility in fulfilling this commitment, to rededicate ourselves to this commitment each year on the Feast of St. Christopher and to celebrate on that day who and what we are as a community.
