My Life in shortDavid, born in Teruel (Spain), has been always splitting his time between music and computers. By the age of 14, he was writing programs for the ZX Spectrum, teaching (!) programming, playing videogames or playing rock and roll guitar with friends. David’s main career has been mostly software engineering, check the software pages for details. He got both bachelor and master degrees in Computer Science in Spain (Ingenierías Técnica y Superior en informática de sistemas). The thesis for the master was a program to improvise over a few given MIDI tracks using AI techniques (check out Improvisator pages). David main interest for research is computer music, especially algorithm music (A.I. applied to music) and synthesis (CSound), although I haven't had much research time lately.
Check the music pages for details on David's music career. After 32 years living in Spain, David took his family for an adventure and accepted a job in the medical imaging world, writing software in Southern California, where he works now with the latest 3D and 2D imaging solutions and lately with WPF and multimedia. Most of his spare time goes to his family, composing music, playing guitar, working on/wheeling the Land Rover and of course, playing videogames.
