Good Music, that is my personal quest and ultimately, my life goal.

Somebody said Music?

bulletInstruments I can play: Guitar, I can hit the keyboards with some accuracy too.
bulletMy gear, among others: Black Box, Cubase, Kontakt, Ibanez, Ovation, Zoom, ...
bulletWhat is my goal in music?: compose music, define my own style, compose the music for a video game and/or film, write some Metal/Hard Rock songs I had in mind for years.
bulletWhat styles of music I like? pretty much good music that happens to be in these styles mostly: Metal, Goth, Classical (pre-baroque, post romanticism if possible), Contemporary music (yep, the weird stuff), Early music.
bulletNeed names? Stravinsky, Ligety, Mike Keneally, Frank Zappa, Varesse, Schoenberg, Matthias I.A. Eklundh, Bryan Beller,...
bulletConfessions (Dweezil Zappa), changed my life, it opened the door to musicians like himself, Mike Keneally, Frank Zappa (I barely knew his music before), Joe Travers, Bryan Beller, etc, definitively a turning point. Thanks must go to Prisco for lending me this album.
bullet"The rite of spring" (Stravinsky) was another eye opener for me, since then I kept studying it and of course, got interested in 20th century music.
bullet"atmospheres" and "lux aeterna" (Ligety) did the same thing to me, they changed the way I see music forever.

And what have you done before?

Late 80's beginning of the 90's, I played with some minor bands in Spain. Nothing really important but lots of fun.

I helped create the Association of Music Students back there. I am one of the founding members.

I have been playing with computers and music since I can remember, started it all in the 80's with the Atari STE and Pro-24 and Cubase. Nowadays with PC and lots of VST instruments and effects. Boy, I love computers some days.

Some synthesis with CSound throughout the years. Lots of fun too. I even use now the VST one!!

I have studies in Harmony, Counterpoint, Composition, Form, Orchestration. Spent a grand total of 11 years in conservatories in Spain. I was one guitar year short to get a Degree in Music, but after a big fight with the administration, I decided to quit music studies and focus only in "real" academic studies (Bachelor and Master in Computer Engineering). Since then I've been learning a lot, reading books, scores and above all, listening to all the music I can.

I was enrolled in the first ever (as far as I know) Composing Music for Videogames, in UCLA Extension, with Lennie Moore. Very cool stuff, nice people, great teacher. I learnt so much, specially important for me is the fact that I have to sit down and compose music every day. I missed that so much. I am hooked up again.

If you think, I may be your musician, please drop me an email, I will be more than happy to provide resume and samples, along with any demos you may request.

I am open for collaborations too, if you are a composer and need some help, I will be willing to provide assistance with composition, orchestration, arrangements, programming, ... you name it!.
