Experience
Professor of Bioengineering (August 2001 - ) Led development of a new BS Bioengineering
degree program at WSU.
Co-Director, Engineering Education Research Center, WSU (January 2005 -) Launched a research
center that facilitiates multidisciplinary research to enhance engineering education from K-12 through graduate education:
- Building collaboration across engineering and education disciplines
- Developing research projects to address key challenges in student retention, student learning, and instruction
- Facilitating professional development in faculty and graduate students to enhance teaching and learning
- Bringing engineering applications and methods to K-12 math education to motivate and enable student learning of mathematics
Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs, WSU College of Engineering and Architecture (January
1986 - December 1998) Led curriculum coordination, community college outreach, instructional innovation, and student services
for all WSU undergraduate programs in engineering, computer science, and architecture
