The family is
still growing! After adding grandson Noah in 2007, Annette is
now expecting daughter Harper in January 2009. Harper will be our
8th grandchild. We still
haven't managed to get everyone together at the same time for a photo,
but we'll keep trying!

Joseph John Chiuminatto
1918 - 2008
It is with great sadness that we
convey the passing of Carol's father - Joe Chiuminatto, on November 8th.
Joe was born in Butte, Montana in 1918. Butte
was a world center for copper mining and Joe was from a mining family.
He graduated from the University of Washington in 1941 with a B.S. in
Microbiology and immediately entered World War II as an Army Medic with
the 84th Infantry "Railsplitters", 333rd Regiment, 3rd Battalion, seeing
action at the Battle of the Bulge.
In 1943 while on leave from the
Army he married Phyllis Barnicoat, also from Butte. They were
married 65 years.
Following WW II he served the Public Health
Service, Bataan Hospital, Kirtland Air Force Base Hospital and Lovelace
Clinic in Albuquerque, NM, for 33 years until his retirement.
children are Carol, Gary, and Candy. Joe
had a great sense of humor and always found something to laugh about.
There is a consistent smile in all of his photos. We honor him and
we shall all miss him.
Joe's 90th Birthday
Party in July.
Carol retired last year as Director of the Mothers Day Out pre-school, which she founded at Saint Helen Catholic Church.
She continues to participate on the Board of Directors and she works 10
hours a week keeping the church database up to date. She had a
very good Cinnamon Bear crafts show this year and sold most all of her pieces. Click
on the Carol link for photos of her hobbies and
Richard is enjoying retirement, travel, and time for projects. Between
travels he works on his ham radio, and does the maintenance on the RV,
house, yard, pool, and deck. He runs 5K every other day and
occasionally plays tennis. Click on the
Richard link for photos of his hobbies and activities.
Travel this year took us to
Italy, Lake Belton,
Port Aransas, Colorado, and
Albuquerque. Click on the Travel link for

Everyone took fun trips this year. In March, Stephen, Amy and the kids
went tent camping at Inks Lake State Park. The kids loved sleeping in a
tent, nature walks and canoeing.
In July, they all joined Amyís parents and sister at Hilton Head Island
for a week of tennis, golf and playing on the beach. During the stay
there, Angela touched a wild dolphin while kayaking in the ocean, the
kids and Stephen rode horses, and everyone saw a live sea turtle while
strolling the beach during the July 4th fireworks shows.
That trip was followed by a family reunion in Albuquerque during the
last week of July, after which everyone crashed Richard & Carolís annual
escape to Southern Colorado by following them to the beautiful and
Ponderosa RV park and campground.
Suzanne continues as President of the St. Helen Ladies Club and
participates in the PTA at Annie Purl school. She also continues to manage
a Bath and Body retail store. Shane works for HEB grocery and
plays in a softball league. Austin is in 2nd
Grade and played coach-pitch baseball after playing T-ball for 2 years. Jackson attends the pre-school that Carol founded.

Annette teaches 2nd Grade at Knowles Elementary. Richie continues
building projects with FT Woods, and he enjoys competitive fishing. Madison is in
7th Grade and continues to enjoy playing volleyball for the school team. Macy is three
and even more full of mischief.
They are expecting our 8th grandchild - grand-daughter Harper - in
January 2009! Annette plans to keep teaching as long as possible,
then take off about 6 weeks after Harper arrives.
