Hello, and welcome to Emendatoria! What does "emendatoria" mean, you ask? As you may know, the word "emend" is a transitive verb that means "to correct, usually by textual alterations." It is from the Latin verb emendare, meaning "to correct, improve." And emendator is the Latin word for copy editor. So long story short, "emendatoria" is my not-so-witty attempt to come up with a witty name for my freelance editing business, in which—as you may have guessed—I "correct and improve" other people's writing and publications.
