Editing rates can vary quite a bit depending on several factors:
- Length of project
- Turnaround time for project
- Type of editing (developmental, substantive, copyediting)
- Depth of editing (light, medium, heavy)
- Type of material (book, catalog, press release, etc.)
- And more...
My rates follow fairly closely to what the Writer's Market Rate Guidelines suggest. Rates are always negotiable, and I can bill on an hourly or a per project basis. Please note that all rush projects will be charged an additional 20 percent.
