1979 Regular Season: Redskins (34) vs. Cowboys (20) at RFK
Quality: Good
This Redskin team was truly great. If it hadn't been for that fluke of a Cowboy victory at the end of the year, I think they would've gone deep in the playoffs. maybe even the Super Bowl. Their defense, led by Coy Bacon, was especially ferocious, and they pummel Dallas all day in this game, which they win by a huge margin. Jack Pardee is the head coach here, with oft-forgotten players like Danny Buggs, Ike Forte, Benny Malone and Ricky Thompson playing alongside Theismann, Riggins, etc. This game is not so much new to my collection as it is upgraded. My earlier version had horrendous tracking problems on one Redskins drive, forcing me to cut it. The game is now complete and is a bit better quality visually as well.
