1983 Regular Season: Redskins (27) vs. Chargers (24) in S.D., MNF
Quality: Good+
The Skins were 0-2 on Monday night, coming into this, their third MNF game of the season, and only two weeks removed from the classic 48-47 MNF loss to Green Bay.

This is Halloween night, and the San Diego crowd, while knowing their team is overmatched, is in good form. The Chargers are without star QB Dan Fouts, sidelined with an injury, and the Redskins take advantage of the young replacement, picking him off SIX times!

Still, it takes a Moseley field goal to win the game in the last seconds, as the Chargers stage a furious comeback down 24-7 in the fourth quarter. Moseley was having a horrendous year. He'd blown the winning kick against Green Bay two weeks earlier, and he misses FOUR kicks in this game.

But, he redeems himself somewhat by finally splitting the uprights after a brilliant Theismann-led drive as the game is winding down. The highlight of the game is a fake punt by Jeff Hayes, who almost gets into the end zone with his surprising speed and running ability. Features Don Merideth, Howard Cossell and Frank Gifford in the booth.
