1992 Regular Season: Redskins (34) vs. Broncos (3) at RFK
Quality: Excellent
Monk Sets All-Time Reception Record!
Art Monk came into this game needing 7 receptions to pass Steve Largent on the all-time reception list. That record quickly became the only thing that kept the game interesting as the Redskins throttle the Broncos much like they'd done in Super Bowl 22.

The Redskins defense is ferocious, with Wilbur Marshall picking off a pass and returning it 20 yards for a TD, and Monk hooks up with Clark on a long pass and scores two rushing TDs of his own.

But, late in the game, Gibbs decides to get Monk his record. Three straight passing plays are called, the kind that Monk had become famous for - quick outs to the sideline. On the third, Monk had his record, and the crowd went crazy.

The only thing crazier is the fact that Art Monk is still not in the Hall of Fame. Hopefully, that error will be rectified one day.

This is one of those games that came to me on DVD, so it didn't go through my usual encoding process, but the quality is excellent and the person who put it together did a real nice job. Has a nice menu, as well.
