| 1992 NFC Wildcard: Redskins (24) vs. Vikings (7) in Minnesota |
| Quality: Excellent |
| The last victory of the first glorious Gibbs era. The Skins hammer the Vikings, especially QB Sean Salisbury of ESPN fame.
The game is probably best known for the Gary Clark tirade on the sidelines, where he goes off on Gibbs for some unknown reason. Gibbs takes him by the arm firmly and calms him down, but the episode made big news at the time. Anyway, this is a great game to watch in one of Gibbs' best coaching years. The team was full of injuries and was on the decline, but he squeezed every possible drop of productivity out of them. Once again, they end up being a huge thorn in the side of the Vikings and their playoff hopes. |
