Grid Square and Distance calculator

Your compass is no longer needed! Align your rotor control indicator using six digit grid squares. Enter the six-digit for your favorite beacons into SQUARES. Then peak your antenna on a beacon and adjust your rotor indicator to the heading indicated in SQUARES. Peak your antenna on another beacon in the opposite direction to verify the rotor controller`s linearity. Do this procedure on the microwave bands to check for skewing of the antenna pattern. The 6-digit data file output [ sixdigit.dat ] is used by VHF LOG, KM Rover and Gen Log to display frequently worked stations` grid squares, distance and beam heading.

GenLog users: SQUARES comes with VHFLOG, but you can download it here. Extract the files to your logging folder, change the folder name if necessary. Note: No setup files are included, so your PC may require the VB5 Microsoft run-time files to run.
