Modified
phone patches.
I was using an HD-15, now I use the RIGblaster Pro.
Digital Voice Keyer in VHF LOG, GenLog and KM Rover loggers.
Use your Sound card software to record your messages in .wav file
format. The output of your sound card is connected to the transceiver`s
Mic input with one of the interfaces above. CQ messages and `report` messages can
be sent with F-keys. The PTT line is also controlled (COM port setup must be used).
Newer versions of my loggers have a DVK over-ride that cancels a playing wave file.
The loggers also support the mic click and foot-switch click mode of the RIGblaster
interface.
Use your SoundBlaster program to edit out the leading and trailing `dead air` portions
of your wave files. All the wave files should have the same relative amplitude.
I adjusted mine using the VU meter in the HD-15.
Create alpha.wav and number.wav files to call stations in your own voice. You can also
create syllable.wav files, which can make the call signs sound smoother.
To try the above feature without recording 36 alpha-numeric wave files, use
my wave files. After you extract the files to the logger`s folder, select {Send Call +} in the DVK setup for F9, enter a callsign and hit F9. To use this in a contest you would record a `report` wave file for that contest that would be played as the second part of F9. When you are done with my files, you can delete them using Explorer.
