VHFLOG - GenLog - KM Rover - Windows Installation



 
When you click the link to the installation file, you are prompted to `Save` or `Run`
the self-extracting file. Click `Run` to start the installation process, then follow the
prompts. Usually ignoring any file registering problems due to sharing will still allow
the software to install.



--- GenLog325 v7.0 install ---
If you are upgrading to the new GenLog logger, the same folder is used as before. Your
setup files and logs can be accessed as before. Select option to keep your files at the
prompt, as necessary.


  
If a shortcut was not made by the installer: make a shortcut to run the new
application filename. Or - if a shortcut is available for the old version, do
right-mouse on the shortcut, select Properties. Edit the executable to GenLog325.exe.

After installing a logger on your PC, you may update to the newest version at any
time by just downloading and extracting the update files to your logging folder.


  
These are the programs` default paths and executable filenames:

c:\vhflog32\vhflog32.exe

c:\genlog32\genlog325.exe <-- new .exe for the VB5 version.

c:\kmrover32\kmrover32.exe


 
To use CW/DVK/PTT/LPT functions under NT type OS requires an I/O port driver [dlportio.dll]
that allows direct access to I/O ports. Download/install the driver software [port95nt.exe].


 
Copy (not move) NOTEPAD.exe from your Windows folder to your logging folder. This will
provide a convenient auto-open of several files written by the logger.
