Politics:
Safe shooting is fun but gun owners have a
responsibility to ensure that
future generations have at least as many
opportunities to shoot safely as
we had.
The only way to do this is to help form a political juggernaut that
can’t be stopped.
As a former liberal Democrat, I delayed
joining the NRA for the longest
time, fearing that I’d find myself in the
company of racist nuts. That
was
10 years ago and my opinion has proved so wrong that I am now an NRA
Life
member and am certified by them to teach their Basic Pistol and Home
Firearms
safety classes. Gun owners come from
all political affiliations
and
there are probably more liberal and libertarian gun owners than Republican
gun
owners.
USA:
Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear
Arms
Pink Pistols, CeaseFear –Hey, if I can hang around with
hard core Republicans,
volunteering as a handgun safety
instructor with this crew is NOTHING. J
International:
There’s
a growing international pressure for stricter gun controls in the
US,
so it’s past time for USAn shooters to join and lend support to gun rights
Organizations
abroad. Here are links to some
noteworthy groups.
