20 Maresfield Gardens.

Anna Freud emigrated with her father from Vienna to London in 1938. She lived in the house at 20 Maresfield Gardens until her death in 1982. The house served as the center for her own long and productive career. A second floor back room in the house is billed as "Anna’s Room." The walls are adorned with some of her possessions.

21 Maresfield Gardens - The Anna Freud Centre

Founded as a children's clinic in 1952 at #21. Buildings at #'s 12 and 14 also serve as part of the Centre. Renamed in honor of Anna in the mid-1980's. The Centre continues to function as a leading authority on the psychoanalytic treatment of troubled children and young people.
