Today, membership has been extended to nearby delevopments that were mostly constructed in the 1960s and 1970s. The total membership area is over 400 detached and attached homes (townhouses). The Association owns, maintains, and operates a 6.8 acre park complete with swimming pool and tennis court. Long Branch Creek runs the length of the property. Fairfax county has exempted us from paying Fairfax County real estate taxes. Dues and pool fees are collected but are not tax deductible as is for charitable, educational, religious and other type organizations. The Association runs several fund raising activities each year such as the annual rummage sale.
The swimming pool along within our park is our greatest asset and requires most of our resources both in time and money. A 12-member Board of Directors runs this Association with the help of many volunteers. Currently, we contract for the operation and maintenance of the pool with Century Pool Management Inc. The most significant new Board policy has been the extension of pool-only memberships to families outside our traditional core and associate areas (see tables below). This policy was made due to changing demographics of our neighborhoods and the distribution of families with children wanting to swim. We have 125 family pool memberships available, with first choice going to members and the remainder to the general public.

OVERVIEW
The Glen Forest development of Fairfax County was constructed the last five years of the fifties. After the pool was constructed in 1960, the Association was formed and incorporated. The Glen Acres and Congressional Acres developments, also built in the 1950s, were added as voting members in the years that followed.
