The Glen Forest Swim Club is nestled in a 6.8-acre park located within the Glen Forest Community on Kaywood Place.  Come enjoy the benefits of belonging to a small, family-oriented community pool!  Amenities include:  toddler pool, free aquasize classes, swimming lessons for all ages, and a "court" area for games.

Park & Pool Clean-up Days
Volunteers needed to trim fences, sweep (leaf blower) driveway, pick-up litter in park and creek, pull weeds, grass cutting (bring gloves and gardening tools), clean furniture (bring brushes & buckets) (come morning or afternoon, or both).  Black trash bags will be provided.

The pool will be open at noon (until 8 pm) and is a FREE day for the community (pool membership is not required).

Please RSVP to either POC to insure we have enough food

Side dishes and desserts are needed!  Please help us out.

The pool has a small gravel parking lot.   Many members walk to the pool area and many parents drop-off and pick-up children.

  • General
    —The following rules are to assure the safe and sanitary operation of pool facilities and the tennis courts.  The pool rules apply to all members and guests and all must abide by these rules.  Failure to comply will result in loss of privileges.
    —The lifeguards and the board of directors have the right to exclude violators from participating in member activities including the use of facilities.
    —All persons use the pool at their own risk and responsibility.  The Association does not assume responsibility for accidents or injuries in connection with use of the facilities.  All accidents must be reported to the Lifeguard on duty.
    —The association is not responsible for damage or loss of personal property.  Lost & found items will be stored in the guardhouse.
    —Malicious damage to the facilities will be charged to the responsible parties.
    —Changes may be made to these rules at the discretion of the Glen Forest Community Assoc Board of Directors and the Pool Committee.
  • Access and Sign-in
    —All members and Guests must sign in at arrival.  Sign in sheet is by the guard's chair.  Indicate member name and the number of guests.  Pay guest fees to the guard on duty.
    —Guests of members must obtain a guest membership, which costs $5.00 per day (children under 2 free.)  The sponsoring member must accompany guests unless prior arrangements have been made with a pool committee or board member.   Maximum 5 guests per family unless prior arrangements have been made.  Pay the guard on duty and indicate on the sign in sheet that the fee has been paid.  
    —Persons eligible to join the Glen Forest Community Pool and choose not to join are not permitted as guests.  
    —Private before/after hour usage must be scheduled and paid for in advance.  Cost is $30 per hour and a contracted pool life guard must be on duty.
  • Swimming Area
    —Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older.  Children 12 and over may swim unaccompanied IF AND ONLY IF they have passed the basic swim test.  Basic swim test is demonstrating strong swim 1 length of the pool and then treading water in the deep end for 1 minute.  All children must show proof of swimming ability to the satisfaction of the lifeguard in order to use the diving board and deep end of the pool.  Children who have not passed the swim test must stay in the shallow end of the pool and have an adult within arms reach at all times.
    —Persons with infections, open sores, unhealed stitches, inflamed eyes, infectious diseases etc…..will NOT be allowed in the pool.
    —Non toilet trained children MUST wear appropriate swim diaper and it is recommended that tight fitting rubber pants are also worn with the swim diaper under the swim suits.   The swim diapers must be the type made expressly for swimming pools, such as Huggies lil swimmers, or similar products.
    —Parents should take necessary precautions to prevent contamination of the pools.  This rule applies to both the large and the baby pool.  Any mistake in control will require the pool to be closed for minimum of 13 hours.
    —Lap Swim is permitted at any time.  Please let the lifeguard know that you wish to have the lap lane setup.
  • Diving Area
    —Users of the diving board MUST have demonstrated swimming ability.
    —One diver at a time- wait until area is clear of swimmers & previous diver.
    —No diving or jumping from edge of pool.
    —Dive only in the direction of the board - not off the sides of the board.
    —DO NOT hang on the diving board.
    —Use ladder to exit the pool.
    —NO DIVES requiring a water depth of greater than 8 feet.
    —Non-divers are not allowed to swim in the deep area unless lifeguard grants exception and/or an adult is within arms reach.  No diving during lap swim.
  • Deck and Bathroom Areas
    —Swimmers must shower before entering the pool.
    —NO SMOKING! Smokers may smoke in the park only.  Alcohol is not permitted in the pool area
    —No foul or profane language or breach of peace will be tolerated.
    —Members and guests are expected to pick up after themselves and assist in keeping the pool area clear of trash, food, drinks and spills.  PLEASE NOTE-This is a self-managed facility!
    —Authorized personnel only allowed in the guard house.
    —NO GLASS CONTAINERS OF ANY KIND.
    —No pets allowed in the pool area.
    —No wheeled vehicles except strollers and wheelchairs.
    —NO street shoes allowed on the pool deck.
    —NO running, rough play, spitting, pushing, hitting, cannon balls, dangerous diving or other conduct that may endanger members and facilities!
    —DO NOT DISTRACT the life guard.  Do not pretend to need help.  DO NOT shout or scream giving the impression of an emergency.
  • Park Area
    —Reckless or unsafe driving in parking lot or path will not be tolerated. Speed Limit on the path is 10MPH.  When vehicle approaches from opposite direction, one driver must yield by waiting at the set-aside that is mid-way on the path.
    —Picnic area may be reserved by non-community members for a cost of $30.
  • Baby Pool
    —Children in the baby pool MUST be supervised by an adult who is within the baby pool enclosure.
    —For safety reasons the baby pool is restricted to children 7 and younger and those adults supervising them.
