In the salvific-bodhisattva fable
we imagine one
who delays or defers or diminishes Freedom
to engender Freedom
in another.
The salvific-bodhisattva fable
comes to the world neither of, nor through, nor from Free Mind
but rather emanates from Ignorant Mind
as a fantasy of zero-sum self-glorification
that redounds from the imagined voluntary self-diminution
of a celebrated salvific Exemplar.
No one who understands Freedom
would say or imagine that it can be deferred
once it is understood.
No one who understands Freedom
would declare that its deferral or diminution could somehow effect,
or might somehow be necessary for the engendering by a Teacher of,
Freedom in another.
No one who understands Freedom
would claim that any salutary action in the world
is made less effective or less possible
through the living of Freedom.
Harboring the fable of salvific bodhisattvahood—
that effort by self or another, and not understanding of What Is, Frees,
that deferral or sacrifice of Freedom by self or another could Free
or be necessary to Free
or be conducive to Freeing
self or another—
Is itself deferral
Of the understanding that is Freedom.
