Isotropic

Night rain on the house roof—intentless
My sleeping mat, this chair, the bending of my hand—expediencies
Who can say that it is not the rain responding to the pressure of
      heated air beneath the tar-paper
            that is instead the
                  center of Now,
And not this rummaging of senses
      for sense,
            dragooning mat, rain,
                  hand, chair and night
                        to reinforce a Present
                              insentient and set on automatic
Witnessed only by an accident of eyes?
