As Being
      is pure Action, pure Change,
Each creature, a SpaceTimeMatterEnergy process
      that maintains its integrity across entropic time
            until the requirements of its subprocesses
                  can no longer be met,
Is also pure Action.

What in a human creature
      is that which is called
            Thought?
Thought is the differential, the delta,
      between human perception
            and human pure action—
The error signal
      in a phase-locked control-loop system
            in which the consciousness-directable functions
                  of the host organism
                        are the loop-steered Action,
                              and the organism's ability to perceive both Action
                                    and Thought
                                          is the Detector of the relative degree of synchrony
Between Perception and Action.

What is Belief?
Belief is self-inflicted occlusion by fantasy
      of the perception of actuality
            for the purpose of disallowing or deferring
                  the reduction of thought to zero
                        through action,
                              or, co-primarily, for the purpose of achieving
                                    a pseudozero local minimum
                                          of thought
                                                without further action.
What is Concentration?
Concentration is the wilful exclusion from perception
      of action not held to be associated with that
            about which thought seeks to reduce itself to zero.
Concentration disallows the reduction to zero
      of thought outside its passband.

The error signal called Thought
In the phase-locked loop
      operative in the creature called Man
Produces the trappings
      of human Civilization
With Civilization itself existing, in each individual,
      entirely in this error signal.
Civilized,
      each individual is systematically self- and group-habituated
To Thought for its own sake—
Thought, decoupled from its function as a tool
      for short-term use by its host
That multiplies and divides in profusion
      rather than driving its host's Action
            toward its own salutary self-reduction
To zero.

What is the purpose of Thought for its own sake?
As life forms diversify and specialize
      to inhabit niche bioregions
            bounded by the existence of conditions
                  necessary to their processes,
So the human population blooms in number
      through the thought-diversity that results from idiosyncratic filtering
            of each individual's PerceptionThoughtAction-loop signal
                  by fantasy, inattentiveness, concentration, and will,
                        engendering, in each individual, and across the population of individuals,
                              myriad pseudozero local minima of Thought
                                    to the conditional stability of any of which its host may gravitate
                                          to achieve Homedness in virtual territory
                                                illusorily decoupled from the exigencies
                                                      of creaturehood, geographical place,
                                                            and entropic time.
Outside the superset of actions undertaken in creation and maintenance
      of these individual psuedozero local Thought minima
            proceeds a bedlam of incoherent aggregate human Action
                  the potentially lethal unsteeredness of which
Remains panhumanly unperceived and unresolved.

Now you see the genesis of our life in surfeit
      of seemingly meaningless, burgeoning Choice:
Variation, through whim, chance, and locality, in the inconsequential particulars
      of the Necessary
            toward the intentional creation and maintenance
Of Thought unresolvable to zero.

In a human PerceptionThoughtAction loop
      operating at full attention
            unfiltered by fantasy, concentration, and will
Thought and Choice do not exist,
Perception and Action are reflexively identical, and
The loop includes itself
      and the unitary Action that is Being,
Its content
The eternal single, durationless utterance
Of Creation.
