What Made the Poet Seem a Magician

What made the poet seem a mystic
was that, not seeing All, he could nonetheless see
            the limits of Seeing
and therefore saw the limits of Mind—
That, being a Creature, he understood that Creaturehood needs Knowledge
only to the point of acquisition
of sufficient Stimulus to trigger Instinct
And that Instinct, triggered,
      proceeds to its Conclusion
            regardless of Knowledge
                  and the ramifications of Outcome
For the purpose of Instinct
      is the provision to Creaturehood
of the facility to proceed in certainty
Unknowing.
