Author.
Violinist. (And, as should be obvious from the foregoing, Masochist.)
If that isn't enough to warn you off, welcome. Here you will find the
fruit of my labors in all three endeavors.
It's
hard to say which great love came first. I learned to type on my
mother's old pawnshop manual when I was in preschool
(ratta-ratta-bump-ratta-bump-kerching!), and soon was hammering busily
away at stories and plays about Mickey Mouse and other deep matters.

At
the same time, I was begging my parents for a violin. I'd seen the
ecstasy on Itzhak Perlman's face during his televised concerts and
decided I wanted some of what he was having. The folks finally relented when I
was six.
Since I never had the good sense to stop on either count -- here I be.
I
am available for freelance writing projects in prose fiction,
comics/manga or computer games. In addition, I welcome freelance
violin and fiddle work in the
Puget Sound area. See the relevant sub-pages of this site for more
details. |

August 15, 2009
Well, it's been a busy season (but ain't they all). In addition to
working on my own comic book pitch, I've also been writing material for
the Rise of Aester (a steampunk LARP currently in development) and playing violin for Village Theatre productions Beauty and the Beast, Stunt Girl and Show Boat.
Quite a mashup there: a big Disney musical, then an intimate,
new original production, and finally a grand old -- no, in fact, the
oldest -- warhorse in the canon of the American musical. The schedule
was crazy, but of course I loved it, and we had some really fabulous
cast performing.
Now I have a little time to breathe before
things get rolling again in the fall. When I say 'time to breathe' I of
course mean 'time to attack all the things on the to-do list that was
mounting all those months while I was busy with shows.' But not before I've gone and gotten my geek on at Blizzcon and possibly swung by Six Flags too...
